Attend the U.S. premiere of Tetsuya Nakashima’s latest film FREE

ANA presents the Nippon EIGA Series: Part 17, featuring the U.S. premiere of Tetsuya Nakashima’s film Paco and the Magic Book. Tetsuya Nakashima – who directed Kamikaze Girls and Memories of Matsuko – creates a story of miracles packed with laughter and tears, featuring a dazzling cast for epic, rainbow-colored entertainment. In the build-up to the climax, the cast is turned into computer-animated 3D characters. These characters interlock with the live-action performance of the actors, for an outrageous movie experience.

More about the film
There once was a hospital where patients, doctors and nurses were all strange. Above all, Onuki, a patient who built up his own company, is a cranky old man. One day, he meets up a girl named called Paco, who cannot retain memory beyond one day due to a car accident. She reads the same picture book everyday. As time passes, Onuki starts bonding with Paco, and begins to doubt his way of living. He starts wanting to do something for Paco with his remaining life, and comes up with a brilliant idea. What shall their fate be?
