Breaking A Monster is a unique coming-of-age story, offering an unprecedented behind-the-scenes look at the music industry, as told through the eyes of young African-American rock band Unlocking the Truth. Filmmaker Luke Meyer captures the band’s rapid rise to fame and their precarious initiation into ‘The Business’ after a video of their performance goes viral online. Breaking A Monster, starring Alec Atkins, Malcolm Brickhouse, Jarad Dawkins and Alan Sacks, is scheduled to have a theatrical release this summer, including the Landmark Sunshine Cinema at 143 East Houston Street New York, which will screen Breaking A Monster from June 24th through the 30th.
