First image of live-action Thor revealed

Following up on that story yesterday about Thor’s hammer being the after-credits ending of Iron Man 2, Yahoo Movies reveals the Norse God himself, who is being portrayed by Chris Hemsworth.

We’ll have to wait until May 6, 2011 to see if Thor is nearly as good as Iron Man.

Kenneth Branagh (Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, Hamlet) directs Thor, which also stars Natalie Portman, Idris Elba, Kat Dennings, Anthony Hopkins, Stellan Skarsgård, Ray Stevenson, Rene Russo, Tom Hiddleston, Jaimie Alexander, Clark Gregg, Colm Feore, Eric Allan Kramer, Tadanobu Asano, Adriana Barraza, Joshua Dallas, Matt Battaglia, Matthias Schweighöfer, Joshua Cox, Courtney Jones, Joseph Gatt, Troy Brenna, Cassity Atkins, Seth Coltan, Darren Kendrick, Michael Rebeiro, Zack Kennedy and yes, Stan Lee.
