Bloody Disgusting has posted the first promo trailer for the Jon Harris-directed sequel to The Descent, which continues the story of Sarah (Shauna MacDonald), who as the only survivor of an all-female caving expedition that ended in terror and death, and now suffers from severe psychological trauma. Unable to speak, she accompanies a rescue team back to the cave, but events once again take a sinister turn.
The film doesn’t yet have a release date in the U.S., however will head into global theaters starting in March 2009.
The Descent: Part 2 also stars Natalie Jackson Mendoza – also from part one – Gavan O’Herlihy, Joshua Dallas, Anna Skellern, Douglas Hodge, Krysten Cummings, MyAnna Buring, Alex Reid, Saskia Mulder and Nora-Jane Noone.
