Museum of the Moving Image advances the understanding, enjoyment, and appreciation of the art, history, technique, and technology of film, television, and digital media. The Museum’s primary activities include presenting exhibitions, education programs, significant moving-image works, and interpretive programs, as well as collecting and preserving moving-image related artifacts.
Part of the Museum’s event schedule includes screenings of classic & edgy cinema from the U.S. and around the world. This portion of its programming includes new & revival screenings, as well as panel discussions surrounding cult classic films, martial arts cinema and audience favorite action movies. The Museum of the Moving Image has also hosted advance screenings of cult favorite action films, anniversary screenings of cult classics and in-depth discussion events about various forms of entertainment media.
