Tron TV show heading our way?

Yes, according to a report by Variety (Via AICN). The animated series, which was just greenlit by Disney, is being called Tron Uprising. Samurai Jack director Charlie Bean is developing the projecy, which will air on Disney XD starting in 2012.

According to the report, the voice cast includes Bruce Boxleitner, Elijah Wood, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Mandy Moore, Paul Reubens, Nate Corddry and Lance Henriksen.

Wood, who is also set to star in FX’s sitcom Wilfred, will play a rebel leader in Tron Uprising, who’s domain is inside ‘The Grid’.
