Animal comes to home video next week

When plans for a weekend getaway hit a dead end, a group of close-knit friends finds themselves stranded in unfamiliar territory, pursued by a menacing, bloodthirsty predator. Holed up in an isolated cabin, they turn on one another as tensions mount and long-buried secrets are revealed. But when the body count rises, the group must put their differences aside and fight for survival.

On February 17th, Scream Factory will unleash director Brett Simmons’ suspenseful creature thriller Animal on Blu-ray and DVD. Executive produced by Flower Films, Animal features a generous dose of suspense terror and follows a group of close-knit friends finding themselves stranded in unfamiliar territory, pursued by a menacing, blood thirsty predator. Holed up in an isolated cabin, tensions mount as long-buried secrets are revealed. As the body count rises, the group must put their differences aside and fight for survival.

The film stars Joey Lauren Adams (Chasing Amy, The Break-Up), Elizabeth Gillies (Victorious), Paul Iacono (Return To Sleepaway Camp), Eve Jeffers (Whip It), Thorsten Kaye (Smash), Amaury Nolasco (Prison Break, A Good Day To Die Hard), Keke Palmer (Masters Of Sex, Joyful Noise), Jeremy Sumpter (Friday Night Lights, Soul Surfer), Parker Young (Enlisted, Suburgatory) and features music by tomandandy (Resident Evil: Afterlife).

Animal is from executive producers Drew Barrymore and Nancy Juvonen, and producers Chris Miller, Ember Truesdell, Kelly Dean Smith and Thommy Hutson for Flower Films. The film is written by Thommy Hutson and Catherine Trillo and directed by Brett Simmons; creature effects are by Gary J. Tunnicliffe.
