The Girl with the Drag­on Tat­too is the first film in Columbia Pic­tures’ three-​pic­ture adap­ta­tion of Stieg Larsson’s lit­er­ary block­buster Mil­len­ni­um Tril­o­gy book series. Di­rect­ed by master filmmaker David Finch­er and star­ring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara, Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is based on the first nov­el in the tril­o­gy, which al­to­geth­er have sold 50 mil­lion copies in 46 coun­tries and be­come a world­wide phe­nomenon. The screen­play is by Steven Za­il­lian, who has penned scripts for Schindler’s List, American Gangster, Clear and Present Danger, Gangs of New York and The Interpreter.

The Girl with the Drag­on Tat­too also stars Stellan Skarsgård, Robin Wright, Christopher Plummer, Embeth Davidtz, Joely Richardson, Joel Kinnaman, Julian Sands, Goran Visnjic, David Dencik, Alan Dale, Geraldine James, Steven Berkoff, Yorick van Wageningen, Sahlima, Elodie Yung, Donald Sumpter and Arly Jover.
