At midnight on Halloween, immediately following a special performance by the band Slipknot, George A. Romero will be in attendance for a screening of his latest zombie epic Survival of the Dead (huge dichotomy in that title) at the Brenden Theatres inside the Palms Hotel and Casino Resort, according to Fangoria.

Survival of the Dead follows a war-weary band of soldiers who are lured to a remote island with the promise of paradise on Earth, only to discover that even here there is no escape from the appetites of either the living or the dead. Survival of the Dead is said to be unlike any film Romero has done previously, and according to the report, is currently seeking distribution. The film stars Devon Bostick, Kathleen Munroe, Alan Van Sprang, Julian Richings, Athena Karkanis, Kenneth Welsh, Joris Jarsky, Wayne Robson, George Stroumboulopoulos, Richard Fitzpatrick and Stefano DiMatteo.

The Survival of the Dead screening joins previously announced screenings of: Alone In The Dark II, Bitch Slap, Black Devil Doll, Dark House, Dead Air The Fourth Kind, Franklyn, The House Of The Devil, House On Haunted Hill (Rifftrax Edition), The Intervention, Live Evil, Nightmares In Red, White, & Blue, Penance, Smash Cut, and Sea of Dust, as well as a selection of pre-feature short films from Fangoria’s Frightfan Film Fest.

Fangoria Trinity of Terrors will be held from October 30th through November 1st at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
