A new scene from director Shane Acker’s animated epic 9, has premiered on MTV. The film, which is a feature-length expansion of Acker’s own award-winning short of the same name, is produced by Tim Burton (Corpse Bride, upcoming Alice in Wonderland), Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted) and Jim Lemley, who produced Red Eye and We Were Soldiers. The surreal tale takes place in a post-apocalyptic fantasy world in which a band of rag dolls fight for the survival of civilization.

The movie features the voices of Elijah Wood, Jennifer Connelly, Crispin Glover, Martin Landau, Christopher Plummer and John C. Reilly. It hits theaters on September 9th, 2009.
