Martin Scorsese’s Departed Trailer

Martin Scorsese’s new film can’t come too fast for me. I am a huge fan of the source material (The Infernal Affairs trilogy) and of both Matt Damon and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Here’s a brief synopsis of The Departed:

Two men are sent undercover within the Boston Police department and the Irish mafia, but violence and bloodshed boil when discoveries are made, and both moles are dispatched to find out their counterpart’s identities. Damon plays the mole in the police dept. and DiCaprio plays the undercover cop sent to infiltrate the Irish mob, headed by Jack Nicholson. The Departed also stars Vera Farmiga, Martin Sheen, Anthony Anderson, Alec Baldwin, Anthony Anderson, Ray Winstone and Mark and Robert Wahlberg.

The Departed will be in theaters on October 6, 2006.
