Soul Men film trailer

After more than twenty years since they last spoke to one another, two estranged soul-singing legends (Samuel L. Jackson and Bernie Mac) agree to participate in a reunion concert at the Apollo Theater to honor their recently deceased band leader. Soul Men also stars Isaac Hayes

The film represents the next to last on-screen performance for Bernie Mac, who died August 9th, in Chicago. His last film will be Old Dogs, where he’ll play Jimmy Lunchbox, alongside Robin Williams, John Travolta, Kelly Preston, Seth Green and Matt Dillon. Old Dogs hits theaters in April of 2009.

Actor and music legend Isaac Hayes also tragically passed away on August 10th, in Memphis, Tennessee, and Soul Men was one of his last projects as well. He has yet to appear in the action thriller Kill Switch, with Steven Seagal, as well as the grindhouse horror flick Return to Sleepaway Camp.
