Revealing new images and the red band trailer for Saw X prequel horror movie

Lionsgate has released new images and the trailer for Saw X, described as the most chilling installment of the Saw franchise yet. Some news comes with the photos, as it’s revealed that Shawnee Smith, who played Amanda in Saw, Saw II, Saw III and Saw VI, is returning to the franchise. From the looks of things, she’s still a sociopathic killer in her own right.

Set between the events of Saw I and II, Saw X explores the untold chapter of serial killer Jigsaw’s most personal game, as a sick and desperate John Kramer (Tobin Bell) travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer – only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. Armed with a newfound purpose, John returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through a series of ingenious and terrifying traps.

Directed by Kevin Greutert, Saw X hits theaters on September 29, 2023, starring Tobin Bell, Steven Brand, Synnøve Macody Lund, Michael Beach, Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernandez, Octavio Hinojosa and Joshua Okamoto.
