The Getaway is screen legend Steve McQueen’s 1972 action-crime thriller directed by Sam Peckinpah. McQueen played Carter “Doc” McCoy and Ali MacGraw co-starred his wife Carol. The Getaway is based on a novel by Jim Thompson, with a screenplay by Walter Hill.
