Game of Death villain Mel Novak and The Blacklist’s Harry Lennix to appear at first-ever Martial Con

Cult Cinema Icon Mel Novak, the quintessential action movie villain, will appear at the inaugural edition of Martial Con this August in Long Beach, California.

Novak has battled many legendary Hollywood heroes and is best known as the iconic Stick the Assassin in Bruce Lee’s Game of Death. Novak also starred in Black Belt Jones opposite Jim Kelly and Gloria Hendry; The Ultimate Warrior opposite Yul Brenner; Eye for an Eye opposite Chuck Norris, Christopher Lee and Richard Roundtree; Tom Horn opposite Steve McQueen; and more recently in Gregory Hatanaka’s Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance opposite Bai Ling. The cult favorite also stars in Thomas J. Churchill’s upcoming action film Checkpoint opposite William Forsythe, Bill Goldberg, Fred “The Hammer” Williamson and Kenny Johnson.

Actor Harry Lennix, who currently appears in NBC’s The Blacklist opposite James Spader, Megan Boone, Diego Klattenhoff, Hisham Tawfiq, Ryan Eggold and Amir Arison, will also appear at Martial Con. Lennix may best be known for his work on The Matrix Trilogy as Commander Lock and also appeared in cult shows such as Dollhouse and 24.

Lennix also appeared in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and will soon play a black Macbeth in Macbett: The Black Macbeth.

Martial Con is a convention, trade show and film festival centered on action filmmaking and martial arts. The event includes a fitness expo, trade show, awards presentation and body painting competition.
