A Spanish film news site called Las Horas Perdidas posted a batch of photos from Louis Lettier’s (Transporter 2, The Incredible Hulk) upcoming Clash of the Titans remake, which hits theaters in 2010. Warner Bros. is seeking to recreate the success of 300, by releasing the epic sword and sandals film on March 20th. But I’m betting George Miller’s upcoming The Odyssey with Brad Pitt, will probably be released in the summer of 2012, not March.

The original Ray Harryhausen-produced, Desmond Davis-directed 1981 film revolved around the myth of Perseus and his quest to battle Medusa and the Kraken monster in order to save the Princess Andromeda.

Clash of the Titans is currently shooting in Teide National Park, Tenerife, in the Spanish Canary Islands.

The photos have a retro vibe to them, almost as if they are right out of the original film, which is cool. We’ll see if that carries over to the production at all, or if that’s just the photographer’s digital video camera. Click on any of the photos to see more of the impending set designs.
