The trailer and web site for the Bad News Bears remake is active.
The Bad News Bears is a remake of the 1976 comedy hit, and follows a grizzled former minor league baseball player who is recruited to coach a woefully inept Little League team to a championship against their hated rivals, the Yankees.
The film was directed by Richard Linklater, (who also has A Scanner Darkly on the horizon). Stars include Billy Bob Thornton as Buttermaker, Greg Kinnear as Bullock, Marcia Gay Harden, Sammi Kraft, Ridge Canipe and Timmy Deters. Bad News Bears hits theaters on July 22, 2005.
