The Last Airbender teaser trailer

This teaser for The Last Airbender really looks great, but M. Night Shyamalan has been letting me down with his last few movies. Great, high concept vehicles that don’t provide the punch. I’m pulling for this one to be not only a hit, but a good film.

The story follows the adventures of Aang, the ten year old successor to a long line of Avatars, who must grow up fast in order to stop the Fire Nation from enslaving the Water, Earth and Air nations. The film is based on the animated action TV series.

The Last Airbender stars Noah Ringer, Nicola Peltz, Jackson Rathbone, Dev Patel, Jessica Jade Andres, Aasif Mandvi, Shaun Toub, Cliff Curtis and Keong Sim, and hits theaters on July 2, 2010.
