Reports are that Warner Bros. and Fox have resolved their dispute over Watchmen, and they are scheduled to present a settlement to Judge Gary Feess tomorrow and request that the case be dismissed.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but is said to involve a lump-sum payment to Fox and a percentage of the film’s box office take. Apparently, Fox will not co-distribute the upcoming movie, and will not co-own the Watchmen property, but it will share any revenue derived from it.
The studios released a joint statement last night.
Fanboys can relax knowing that one of the biggest comic-related films of the year, will be released on time. I for one, will be headed to the nearest IMAX screen on opening day. hehe!
