Pain & Gain is based on the true story of a group of bodybuilders who engaged in a campaign of kidnapping, extortion and murder in South Florida during the mid-1990’s. First told in an article from the Miami New Times, Pain and Gain is directed by Michael Bay and stars Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Anthony Mackie and Ed Harris.
