Cast of the violent hero pic Super landing at Comic-Con, along with first look at “Crimson Bolt” costume

Writer/director James Gunn (Slither), along with cast members Rainn Wilson (The Office), Ellen Page (Juno), Nathan Fillion (Firefly), Michael Rooker (Henry Portrait Of A Serial Killer), plus other special guests including producers Ted Hope (Adventureland) and Miranda Bailey (The Squid And The Whale), will be on hand to reveal, for the first time, footage from their latest feature production – Super. The event will also include the first peek at Rainn (The Crimson Bolt) and Ellen’s (Boltie) costume designs.

Super is described as a hyper-real and shockingly funny look at the extremely violent antics of a down-on-his-luck man’s (Wilson) attempt to win his wife back from a glamorous drug dealer by teaming up with a psychopathic teen (Page) and becoming the costumed crime fighters “The Crimson Bolt” and “Boltie”. The only problem is, he lacks any heroic skills whatsoever.

Super has some hilarious character names, including Nathan Fillion’s “The Holy Avenger,” along with the aforementioned “The Crimson Bolt” and “Boltie.”

The film also stars Liv Tyler, Kevin Bacon, Gregg Henry, Michael Rooker, Andre Royo, Sean Gunn, Stephen Blackehart, Linda Cardellini, Edrick Browne, Don Mac, Mollie Milligan, Lindsay Soileau, Greg Ingram, Brandon Belknap, Mikaela Hoover, Mario Jimenez and Nick Holmes.

The Super panel takes place on Friday, July 23rd, from 1-2pm, inside of Hall H.
