Superman creator’s secret fetish lifestyle coming to the big screen

Of course I had to comment on this report. How could I not. Not because I’m in to anything freaky, but come on, FETISH FILM! Empire reports that according to the Craig Yoe book Secret Identity: The Fetish Art of Superman’s Co-Creator Joe Shuster, the artist behind the creation of Superman also created a series of mob-financed underground fetish-comics that sparked an anti-comic crusade among politicians of the time. Yoe’s book has been optioned for a film adaptation.

Yoe, a comic archivist, stumbled across a batch of the controversial books at an estate sale, and recognized Shuster’s work. The books were titled The Nights of Horror and were sold under the counters of Times Square bookshops, until a series of copycat crimes by a group of Jewish teens called the Brooklyn Thrill Killers, who apparently committed a series of random murders and beat girls in a similar fashion to the pages of the books, led to a Supreme Court censorship case and a crackdown on comics.
