Salma Hayek combats Yakuza-tattooed, sai-toting, RPG-wielding assassins in trailer for Everly

Salma Hayek’s new action thriller Everly looks like funny, sweaty, ball-to-the-wall action/thriller madness. The ageless beauty returns to the grindhouse genre with her new film, wear she plays a woman who faces down multiple assassins sent by her former – who also happens to be a mob boss – while holed up in her apartment. If that weren’t enough she’s also trying to get a wad of cash to her mother, so mom can ditch town.

Knights of Badassdom director Joe Lynch is at the helm of Everly, which he co-wrote with Yale Hannon. Along with Hayek, the film stars Jennifer Blanc, Togo Igawa, Caroline Chikezie, Gabriella Wright, Akie Kotabe, Uros Certic, Andy McDermott, Jelena Gavrilovic, Masashi Fujimoto, Dragana Atlija, Hiroyuki Watanabe, Laura Cepeda and Damijan Oklopdzic.

Everly hits VOD on January 23rd, then will be released in theaters on February 27th, 2015.
