A motion poster has been released to tease Alan Taylor’s Terminator: Genisys, sending a clear message that this reboot will relaunch the franchise. It shows the classic T-800 cyborg skull disintegrating into a pile of sand.
Terminator: Genisys is directed by Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones, Thor: The Dark World) and written by Laeta Kalogridis (Avatar, Shutter Island) & Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry). Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney, J.K. Simmons, Byung-hun Lee and Matt Smith star in the film that takes a new approach to the Terminator timeline, finding Sarah Connor orphaned, being raised and trained by an aging T-800 Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) as Kyle Reese (Courtney) is sent back in time from the future again on a new mission.
Paramount Pictures is set to release Terminator: Genisys next summer on July 1st, 2015.
