Yimou Zhang’s (Hero, House of Flying Daggers) remake of Coen Brothers’ cult classic Blood Simple is being released stateside by Sony Pictures Classics with the title A Woman A Gun and a Noodle Shop, and the studio quietly released the U.S. trailer for the film recently.

‘Noodle Shop’ (originally titled A Simple Noodle Story) stars Honglei Sun, Dahong Ni, Ni Yan, Xiao Shen-Yang and Xiaojuan Wang, and centers on the owner of a Chinese noodle shop and his scheme to murder his adulterous wife and her lover, which goes terribly awry.

A Woman A Gun and a Noodle Shop will begin a limited theatrical release on September 3, 2010.
