Piranha 3D gets new release date and the first image of the killer fish

Dimension Film’s Piranha 3D will be opening wide on August 27, 2010, moved from its original spring release of April 16th.

Piranha 3D, which is directed by Alexandre Aja, takes place in Lake Havasu, Arizona, where a tremor causes the lake’s floor to open, setting free scores of prehistoric piranhas. The remake stars Eli Roth, Adam Scott, Elisabeth Shue, Christopher Lloyd, Dina Meyer, Ving Rhames, Jessica Szohr, Jerry O’Connell, Richard Dreyfuss, Kelly Brook, Cody Longo, Steven R. McQueen, Riley Steele, Ricardo Chavira, Brooklynn Proulx, Paul Scheer, Brian Kubach and Bria Roberts.
