Just as the Tom Cruise film Valkyrie, readies for release, indie distributor THINKFilm prepares to release Good, which stars Viggo Mortensen as John Halder, a decent individual with family problems. He has a neurotic wife (Jodie Whittaker), two demanding children and a mother suffering from senile dementia. A literary professor, Halder explores his personal circumstances in a novel advocating compassionate euthanasia. When the book is unexpectedly used by powerful political figures in support of the government propaganda of Hitler and the Nazis, Halder finds his career rising in a current of nationalism and prosperity. However, soon he realizes the cost of his actions, as seemingly inconsequential decisions lead to horrible choices, with eventually devastating effect.

Austrian-born Vicente Amorim directs Good, from a script by John Wrathall.

Below is the trailer for Good, which will be in theaters on December 31, 2008.
