Trailer for The Rock’s next sci-fi action comedy Race to Witch Mountain |

The trailer for Race to Witch Mountain actually looks pretty good. I was a big fan of the original film as a child, however I honestly don’t know how I’d respond to it today. I must find out dammit. The Fx look good, some cool explosions, and the Rock is really funny. Race to Witch Mountain will probably do very well, if the trailer is any indication of the film’s quality.

Andy Fickman (Who’s Your Daddy, The Game Plan) directs Race to Witch Mountain, which revolves around a A UFO expert who enlists the help of a cabbie (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) to protect two siblings with paranormal powers from the clutches of an organization that wants to use them for nefarious plans. I assume world domination or some sort. The film also stars Carla Gugino, AnnaSophia Robb, Christine Lakin, Tom Everett Scott, Cheech Marin, Ciarán Hinds and Garry Marshall.

Race to Witch Mountain will be in theaters on March 13th 2009.

Film Fetish Trivia: U.K. born John Hough, who directed the original Escape to Witch Mountain in 1975, helmed the cult flick Dirty Mary Crazy Larry, with Peter Fonda and Susan George, one year prior, in 1974.
