Autopsy to premiere at After Dark’s Horrorfest III

Seven Arts Pictures recently announced that After Dark Films has acquired rights to distribute Autopsy as part of Horrorfest III – 8 Horror Films to Die For. Autopsy will premier nationally on January 9th 2009. Five other films have also been announced for Horrorfest, including The Broken, The Butterfly Effect 3: Revelation, From Within, Perkins’ 14, and Slaughter.

After Dark created Horrorfest as the first national film festival for horror films in 2006. In its first year Horrorfest became the first film festival in history to break into the Top 10 at the national box office.

Autopsy was directed by Adam Gierasch, and produced by Seven Arts, from a script Adam wrote with Jace Anderson and E.L. Katz. Adam and Jace are now in production on another Seven Arts horror film, Night of the Demons, also directed by Gierasch.

Autopsy stars Robert Patrick (Spy Kids, Bridge to Terabitha, Terminator 2), Jessica Lowndes (90210), Jenette Goldstein (Aliens, Terminator 2, Clockstoppers) and Ross McCall (Band of Brothers). Jessica Horowitz, Steve Markoff, Bruce McNall and Warren Zide produced the film. The movie follows a group of young partygoers taken to an isolated hospital after a car accident. Once there, they become trapped in the hospital along with a number of helpless patients.
