The much anticipated RAY CHARLES biopic, RAY, will have its world
premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. The TAYLOR
HACKFORD directed pic will screen alongside HILARY SWANK’S film RED DUST,
a film about South Africa’s Truth and Reconciliation process.
In the Masters sidebar, the North American premieres of BENOIT JACQUOT’S French language A TOUT DE SUITE, CHANTEL AKERMAN’S film DEMAIN
ON DEMENAGE, JEAN-LUC GODARD’S film NOTRE MUSIQUE and PATRICIO
GUZMAN’S Chilean import SALVADOR ALLENDE. All of these films had
world premieres at CANNES.
The festival runs September 9 through the 18th.
There is a page dedicated to the film in our Film Library. For more details on the project, CLICK HERE
