From the looks of this trailer, it seems Michael Bay and Platinum Dunes have gotten it right again, with Rogue Pictures’ remake of the 1986 movie The Hitcher. The new film tracks the terrifying cross-country cat and mouse chase of Grace (Sophia Bush) and Jim (Zachary Knighton), two traveling college students tormented by the mysterious hitchhiker John Ryder, a.k.a. The Hitcher (played by Sean Bean).
Famed music video director Dave Meyers makes his feature debut with The Hitcher, which will be in theaters on January 19, 2007.
