Stallone and Schwarzeneggar finally going toe to toe on film?

Well, not exactly – however it looks like they will be sharing screen time, or at least credits, in the same film. According to a report on AICN, Arnold Schwarzeggar is going to be playing….Governor Arnold Schwarzeneggar, in Sly Stallone’s upcoming The Expendables.

He will apparently be shooting for one day, and it seems that Schwarzeneggar and Sly’s character Barney Ross have history from way back.

According to the report, Ben Kingsley is out of the project, and Eric Roberts is in as CIA agent Monroe. Mickey Rourke has apparently also officially signed on as a character named Emanuel.

The Expendables begins shooting in about one month, and Stallone has completed a rewrite on the script.

The film is scheduled to hit theaters sometime in 2010, and follows a team of mercenaries lead by Stallone, that head to South America on a mission to overthrow a dictator. Also attached to the action project, are Jason Statham, Sandra Bullock, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Forest Whitaker, Robert Knepper, David Zayas, Randy Couture, Dax Ravina and Aaron Aguilera.
