The trailer for Lower City (Cidade Baixa) contains no dialog at all. What it does contain is a powerful color and brilliant energy that jumps right off the screen. The film is about a friendship that is pushed to the edge when two men fall for the same woman. This Brazilian film will surely continue the current wave of powerful cinema coming from that country right now.
Lower City (Cidade Baixa) had it’s U.S. premiere recently at the Brooklyn International Film Festival and will begin a limited release tomorrow, June 16, 2006.
