In 2027, in a chaotic world in which man can no longer procreate, a former activist agrees to help transport a miraculously pregnant woman to a sanctuary at sea where her child’s birth may help scientists save the future of mankind. Alfonso Cuarón’s Children of Men could be the first big hit for the versatileClive Owen, who has been in some strong pieces, but has yet to have a big hit in a starring role, other than as The Driver in the BMW short films. The film also stars Julianne Moore (Freedomland, The Forgotten, Hannibal), Michael Caine (Batman Begins, The Weather Man, The Prestige), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Inside Man, Kinky Boots, Dirty Pretty Things) and Charlie Hunnam (Cold Mountain, Hooligans).
It will be in theaters on September 29, 2006.
