The Abandoned focuses on an adopted woman who returns to her home country to the family home that she never knew and faces a mystery that lies there. The Abandoned comes from Spanish director Nacho Cerdà (Genesis, Aftermath). Not sure how much horror comes out of the country of Spain, but a lot of quality directors and filmmakers are there. The trailer looks fairly creepy, and features Czech actor Karel Roden (The Bourne Supremacy).
The film screened at the Toronto Film Festival this week, and may get a limited release from Filmax this fall.
