Guillermo del Toro announces Pacific Rim animated series and more

Pacific Rim director Guillermo del Toro, who’s currently finishing up Legendary’s upcoming epic film Crimson Peak, has recorded a message for Legendary fans, announcing the Pacific Rim animated series, the continued Pacific Rim comic – which began with Year Zero – along the sequel to the film, tentatively titled Pacific Rim 2. According to various reports online, the release date for Pacific Rim 2 is set for April 7, 2017.
