Animated poster for sci-fi thriller The Darkest Hour revealed

Summit Entertainment has released a motion poster for the upcoming U.S./Russian sci-fi thriller The Dark­est Hour, starring Emile Hirsch, Rachael Taylor, Olivia Thirlby, Joel Kinnaman, Max Minghella, Dato Bakhtadze, Yuriy Kutsenko, Artur Smolyaninov, Pyotr Fyodorov and Nikolay Efremov.

Chris Gorak directs The Dark­est Hour, a sci-fi film produced by Wanted wunderkind Timur Bekmambetov. The thriller centers on a group of tourists in Rus­sia who must contend against a world­wide alien in­va­sion.

Dark­est Hour lands in the­aters on De­cem­ber 23, 2011.
