Ben Affleck circling Joel Silver-produced action thriller Line of Sight

Ben Affleck, who’s currently prepping his thriller Argo, is already targeting his follow-up to that film.

THR reports that the actor/filmmaker is in negotiations to star in, direct and produce the action film Line of Sight for Warner Bros., with Joel Silver and Andrew Rona producing.

Line of Sight centers on an elite commando squad transporting cargo while dealing with a global threat. One of the conceits of the movie is that it tells the tale from a point-of-view akin to a first-person shooter game. The script was recently updated by Peter O’Brien, who wrote the game Halo: Reach for Xbox 360. The project was initially nabbed by Silver Pictures in March as a spec script by F. Scott Frazier.

Affleck will reportedly start shooting Argo this September in Los Angeles. The drama is set during the Iran hostage crisis and involves a CIA team going undercover as a sci-fi film crew.
