Cuba’s first zombie film, Juan of the Dead, shooting in Havana

Cuba’s first-ever zombie film, the $2.3 million dollar Juan of the Dead, is currently shooting on the streets of Havana. According to a report by CNN’s Shasta Darlington, the Cuban government originally believed that zombie films were a CIA-backed plot to topple the Communist government. However from the look of the behind-the-scenes featurette below, the film’s director, Alejandro Brugues, now has all the support he needs.
