WizardWorld reports that Irvin Kershner, who directed Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back, will help mark the 30th anniversary of the sci-fi classic with an in-depth, rare discussion with fans at the Anaheim Comic Con on Saturday, April 17, 2010.

The exclusive appearance is free to all attendees of the con, and will be the only public appearance in the U.S. for the director this year. Kershner, who is also noted for helming such iconic action films as The Return of a Man Called Horse, Raid on Entebbe, Never Say Never Again, and RoboCop 2, will be joined on stage by the charismatic Billy Dee Williams, who portrayed Lando Calrissian in both The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983).

Both will also be signing autographs during Anaheim Comic Con in the main celebrity autograph area.

Anaheim Comic Con happens from April 16-18, 2010, and brings together fans of comics, toys and collectibles. Find out more about Anaheim Comic Con at www.wizardworld.com/home-anaheim.html.
