Universal has released a funny new trailer for Despicable Me, which tells the tale of Groo, an evil genius who’s masterminding the biggest heist in the history of the world; to steal the moon. His wicked ways go unchecked, until one day he meets his match in three orphan girls – Margo, Edith and Agnes – who just want him as their dad.

Despicable Me, which was produced by the Ice Age folks and co-directed by Pierre Coffin, Chris Renaud and Sergio Pablos, hits theaters on July 9 2010, and stars Steve Carell as the voice of Groo, along with the voices of Jason Segel, Miranda Cosgrove, Ken Jeong, Danny McBride, Will Arnett, Russell Brand, Kristen Wiig, Julie Andrews, Jack McBrayer and Jemaine Clement.
