In an interview on Tuesday with SCI-FI Wire, Blair Witch Project director Daniel Myrick said that he’s developing a film project titled Savant, described as a paranormal thriller, which he says would be his biggest movie to date.
He told the site:
“Savant is about this guy named Jeremiah Stark who is incarcerated in this special facility…He has this special ability to get inside people’s heads and influence their behavior, thus turning the people into mass murderers…It’s going to be, for me, in budget and in scope, the biggest thing I’ve done so far…”
Myrick also says the film follows an agent and a hostage negotiator that are trying to find out who this guy with these special powers, has spoken with in the past.
He added that he’s been writing the script for a couple of years, and that he considers this to be his pet project, and he hopes to start shooting Savant some time this spring.
Myrick’s has been out promoting his next film, the supernatural war thriller The Objective, which will begin a limited release over the next few weeks.
