John Carpenter to direct supernatural thriller The Ward

John Carpenter is attached to direct The Ward, a supernatural thriller with Amber Heard (Pineapple Express, Never Back Down) attached to star, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Written by Michael and Shawn Rasmussen (Long Distance), The Ward follows the disturbing experience of a young woman in an institution, being terrorized by a ghost. The films is scheduled to begin shooting in May of this year.
