Classic James Bond theatrical screening series this weekend

For those of you in the New York City area, the historic Loew’s Jersey Theater will be screening their first film series of 2009, which includes three James Bond classics, featuring Roger Moore as 007. The Loew’s Jersey, which first opened its polished brass doors on September 28, 1929, runs a continuous series of classic film screening events, featuring all genre of filmed entertainment. I’ve watched films as diverse as Orson Welles’ Citizen Kane to Ridley Scotts’ The Terminator.

It’s a large, beautiful screen, located inside of a classic movie palace that is being meticulously restored to its former elegance.

There will also be a collection of Bond memorabilia on display in the Grand Lobby throughout the two-day event.
