Director Gary Fleder sat down with BlackTreeMedia to discuss his latest effort, The Express, which tells the true story of Ernie Davis, the first African-American to win the Heisman Trophy. Among other things, Fleder discusses the great help football great Jim Brown was as a consultant on the film, as well as his personal motivation for wanting to bring this story to the big screen.
