Film Fetish trivia:
In the comic book Hellblazer on which the movie is based, the character of John Constantine is from Liverpool. In the movie, the character is from Los Angeles.

The movie Constantine is based on the comic book Hellblazer, but the movie title was changed because it was too similar to Hellraiser. The comic book also was meant to be called Hellraiser, but Clive Barker had already come up with the title first.

Originally, Tarsem (The Cell) was attached to direct with Nicolas Cage to star.

The Spear of Destiny from the film is the same one as used in the movie Hellboy.

Peter Stormare originally auditioned for the role of Balthazar.
