Bruce Willis is set to star in Solace, a New Line thriller scripted by Ted Griffin and Sean Bailey, according to Variety.

Solace will start production in July. Willis will play a doctor with psychic powers who’s enlisted by the police to help catch a serial killer. It turns out the killer has similar gifts.

New Line’s Toby Emmerich and Richard Brener are producing the new thriller and are expected to choose a director sometime this week.

The thriller has been a high priority since the studio paid seven figures four years ago for the script by Ocean’s Eleven scribe Griffin and Bailey.

Willis is very busy these days with action thrillers, with the currently released Hostage, recently announced 16 Blocks, Sin City, to be released on April 1, Die Hard 4.0, to be released in 2006 and the currently filming Lucky Number Slevin, co-starring Josh hartnett, Ben Kingsley and Morgan Freeman.
