Frank Miller’s 300 Trailer 1 (Not a Teaser or a Journal)

In 480 B.C., Spartan King Leonidas and his royal guard of 300 readied themselves for battle against the mightiest Persian army ever assembled. The Spartans were outnumbered one hundred thousand to one, but sometimes choosing where to fight makes all the difference in the world.

This early trailer is surprising complete, convincing and kick-ass. It also reveals some important story elements, for those who haven’t read Frank Miller’s oringinal graphic novel.

Zack Snyder, who directed the Dawn of the Dead remake, and is slated to handle the same duties on theWatchmen film (also based on a seminal comic) and Rainbow Six, based on the Tom Clancy action-espionage book, helms Frank Miller’s 300 vision for the screen. 300 stars include Gerard Butler, Lena Headey, David Wenham, Vincent Regan, Rodrigo Santoro and Dominic West.
