James Bond Film No Time to Die Gets Largest-ever U.K. Theatrical Release (2021)

No Time to Die, the 25th installment of the James Bond franchise, gets the widest-ever theatrical release of all time in the U.K. up to this date. Its September 30th opening day figures are estimated to reach $6.8 million.

MGM and Universal’s film was released in 772 cinemas – 25 more than the previous record holder – Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker in 2019. The film is also Universal’s widest-ever release in Britain up to this time. James Bond’s opening day haul, from its first full day in movie theaters on Thursday, is estimated to fall between $6.2 million and $6.8 million – about 13% more than 2015’s Spectre, and 26% below 2012’s Skyfall.
