Downey, Witherspoon and Wanted director going back in time

Robert Downey Jr., Reese Witherspoon and Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov are currently in negotiations to topline (and helm) Warner Bros.’ sci-fi thriller The Days Before, according to an article on Dark Horizons.

Chad St. John’s script follows a race of aliens who invade Earth by traveling backward through time and wiping out humanity one day at a time – yesterday by yesterday. One man attempts to stay “one yesterday ahead of them,” and each time he must try to convince the world that the end is coming. 300 producer Gianni Nunnari (300) will oversee the production for the studio.
